Lal Singh Chaddha Review: Aamir Khan, Kareena, Mona Singh and Naga Chaitanya Starrer Movie Inspire the Audience
Lal Singh Chaddha Review

Aamir Khan's Lal Singh Chaddha’ was released yesterday on 11th August. As expected film story is totally predictable as it is based on Hollywood famous movie ‘Forest Gump’.

It is acceptable that Aamir Khan’s movie will compare with the original one ‘Forest Gump’. Aamir Khan’s Popped eyes remind us of his expression on PK.

Story of Lal Singh Chaddha

The story Length is vast because it is similar to Forest Gump. Director Advait Chandan’s tale revolves around the dim-witted boy Lal Singh Chaddha from Punjab; whose mother encourages him to achieve his dreams and overcome his disabilities. He befriended his schoolmate and later his love interest Rupa.

His journey began in 1977 and ended in 2018, It shows his enrollment in Delhi University and his days in Army, where he became friends with his fellow Bala.

Throughout his journey, he encountered many historical events in India like: the 1977 Emergency, Operation Blue Star, Indira Gandhi’s assassination, Babri Mosque demolition, etc.

Review of Lal Singh Chaddha-

No doubt it inspires the audience, because of his innocence and encouraging journey of Lal Singh Chaddha, which today’s society lost it.

The first half is good and compelling but its second half is average.

Film’s Characters-

Aamir khan’s Lal Singh Chadha role somehow managed to impress the audience. He played the character of a dim-witted boy, which looks like in some scenes he is forcefully trying to play that character, with his poppy eyes and overacting.

Kareena Kapoor's performance of Lal Singh’ love interest Rupa is a good one. She portrays the character of Jenny naturally, Robin Wright played this character in Forest Gump.

Mona Singh played the character of Lal’s mother. Mona's strong performance as a single mother, who rejuvenates the spirit of her son, is remarkable. Mona Singh’s role emerges out stronger in this movie.

Naga Chaitanya did complete justice to his character Bala, best buddy of Lal Singh in the Army.

Film' Scenes-

Lal Singh Chaddha successfully films the movie's most iconic scene white feather which flies on Aamir’s Shoes, just like in the original Forest Gump.

In the Original Movie Forest narrate his story on a bench of the bus stop, when he was going to meet his love interest Jenny. Whereas Aamir tells his story in the train compartment, to resemble the Indian tradition of telling a story.

The movie is successful to generate emotions in the audience at some points like the bonding of Lal and Bala, which is a pure friendship tale, a mother and son duo able to hit the heart of the audience with their best performance.

Forrest Gump Lt. Dan's character is completely changed in the movie, with Manav Vij playing the terrorist role Mohammad, who was saved by Lal and later due to a change in his heart, he helped Lal in his chaddi banyan business.

Apart from all of this film is a one-time watch, its story unable to recreate the success of its original one. The story is able to inspire you at some point, but due to its length, the audience may not stay excited till the end.

Social Media User's Reaction on Twitter –

It is not the first time that Aamir Khan made a remake of Hollywood. Ghajini was the remake of Hollywood fame Christopher Nolan’s Memento. Aamir Khan gave his stellar performance in Ghajini but failed to impress his audience in ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’.
